All NGO’S start with a mission to serve humanity in one form or the other to achieve these objectives target an identifiable population, be it small or large. NGO puts in place a set of strategies that would assist it to build credible infrastructure, manpower, financial reserves and planning to organize and manage these resources. NGO’s are more often than not non-profit making organizations and therefore rely heavily on contributions received from various resources. These sources of funds can be of two classes, Internal sources like membership fee, individual donation, sponsorship fee etc, and External Sources which will include sources in India like Grant-in-aid from the central/state Governments, donations from private institutions/corporate etc.. and outside sources like Private institutional funding, bilateral-multilateral funding, international donors/foundations/organizations like UNICEF etc.
